I can’t believe I am pregnant … AGAIN!

It’s been so interesting to observe all the similarities and differences between my first, and now second pregnancy. Unfortunately for me, this go-around has been a wee bit more challenging than the first (weeks 6-8 were a doozy!) But thankfully, it hasn’t been too rough. The first trimester is a weird time. The secrecy, the unknowns, the worry, the excitement - it can make for a chaotic series of weeks. Gearing up with all the necessary essentials to support you along the way can help you feel so much more at ease as you try to navigate the first trimester. So, without further ado, here is my list of recommended first trimester must-haves!

Pregnancy Vitamins + Supplements:

There is so much on the journey to motherhood that you can’t control, but nutrition is a big one that you can. 95% of women in the perinatal stages have nutrient deficiencies. Most prenatal vitamins include bare minimum nutrition. Women deserve to thrive, not just survive. Needed offers radically better nutrition products, education, and advocacy rooted in clinical research and practitioner validation. I love that Needed is a woman (mom) owned company who truly prioritizes the health of pre and postnatal women. I personally use all of these products and love each one. They offer more than just what you see below so feel free to browse their products on Amazon!

Hydration Support:

Maintaining proper hydration throughout pregnancy is incredibly important which is why I made sure to find a cup that I constantly reach for and a top tier hydration support powder designed specifically for perinatal women (but can still be enjoyed by everyone!) The Needed Hydration Support is a staple item consumed in my household.

Nausea Support/Prevention:

Unfortunately, nausea is a common symptom of pregnancy, but thankfully, it typically subsides after the first trimester. The good news is there are various remedies, products, drinks and snacks that can support you through the nausea.

Comfy Clothes:

Comfort is KEY during pregnancy. During my first pregnancy, I was determined to find comfortable outfits that I could wear during and after pregnancy. AKA no real “maternity clothes” for this girl. Oh, and you know how people say you start showing earlier in subsequent pregnancies? I can confirm it is indeed true as my bump popped out around 10 weeks!

Relaxation + Sleep Support:

Achieving optimal relaxation and sleep throughout pregnancy and postpartum is quite the challenge. Controlling your rest environment helps leaps and bounds during this time!

Skincare:

Avoiding stretch marks is possible and I am walking proof! The key is consistency. Daily application of your preferred belly skincare will keep those pesky stretch marks away. PS - Don’t forget to lather up the ta-ta’s too as they grow along with your belly!

Pregnancy/Baby Care Books:

I can’t say it enough … Moms On Call works wonders for a new momma! By following the recommendations for baby sleeping and eating routines, I felt SO confident with my newborn and the results speak for themselves. My baby started sleeping through the night by 12 weeks old and we haven’t looked back since (she’s now 18 months).

Momma, I am so glad you are here!

Hopefully you gained some helpful tips on ways you can confidently crush motherhood! I’d love for you to stick around and allow me to continue to help guide you during this wild journey. I have a ton of goodies to share including pre/postnatal exercise routines, nutritional guidance and motherhood mindset coaching, so enter your name and email below to connect!

Can’t wait to meet you in your inbox :)
